my first year....

I am a third year nursing studying in new zealand (a seperate country in the south pacific ocean). I am at the end of my studies and can't wait to sit my NCLEX exam.

My first year...i was scared and wondered why i wanted to do this. Im very much academically challenged but got a lot of help from my institution and lecturers. It took me about 6 months to get into my studies and now i feel i can take on the world.

It is normal to feel scared and frightened about your first year...i did! I use to look up to the third years in my first years and thought...how the heck am i going to get all the knowledge that they do! I considered myself really dumb while i was looking at them. A first year nursing student told me how the heck she was going to fit all the knowledge in...all i said was "it will come to you over time like it has with me!"

i cant wait to work as a nurse...nursing is my life now....and i can't wait to help all these ppl who need to be taken care of.
