hey guys I haven't posted since the end on my first week about beginning last month but just letting you guys know were done with fundamentals passed with a 89 yay not an a but ill take that for all you people nervous if you read any of my other post you know I was super nervous but once you get in there the nerves go away I will say that weve already lost like 20 people BUT its soo doable as long as you keep the mind set that failing is not an option then you will be fine don't get caught up in with the people in class that want to blame everyone else because they cant make the grades your not there to help them. you are there for you and you alone yes its nice to make friends but make friends that are just as motivated as you are. also find out how you study best its not how long you study its the quality of the studying that you do. I was so upset because I made an 81 which is a c at my school and I had studied so much but instead of getting down I tried a different way of studying and I haven't made below a 90 since........now im off to clinicals Monday and im surprisingly not nervous.....yet im sure it will come Monday as I walk into the hospital and ill forget my name and where im suppose to go haha but still excited hope I get a good wtd dressing to change or get a chance to do a catheter and as dumb as it sounds im super excited about taking vital signs because I know I know how to do them lol WE GOT THIS GUYS stay focused on YOUR goals not others and you will make it ill try to let everyone know how clinicals are ..... if I get a chance nursing school problems lol

How did you go about studying?
well at first I was trying to read and read the chapters and then Id find myself doodling hearts and stuff somewhere and not even no what I read so I started making note cards on all the graphs in the chapters id go through and put all the vocab words on them to plus the sentence before and after them depending on what the sentence was before the vocab word I would do the two after it and I would do the same thing for all the italicized words and for the chapter objectives at the beginning of the chapter doing this I would end up reading most of the chapter and not have to read all the stuff that's not so important I would read the skills at the end of the chapters though and then I would take the note cards everywhere with me they are so easy to quiz your self with also my teacher said find the best time to study for you some people are night people and some are morning I thought I was a night person but I decided to give morning studying a shot and its way better I never realized how much better my notes were in the morning compared to the afternoon but I didn't do anything crazy just normal stuff there is a bunch of online quizzes that you can take to figure out what kind of learner you are just google what kind of learner am I and base you studying on your results it sounds dumb but it works

I am also curious as to how you study for your LPN program. I have not started yet, but hopefully in January I will begin taking my classes. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. :)

We have clinical orentation like the 2-3rd week of September.
