Inpatient rehabilitation is basically a mixed bag that includes CVA patients, diabetics, amputees, orthopedic (knee & hip) patients, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and much more.
Common procedures include blood transfusions, x-rays, bladder scans, digital bowel stimulation, ostomy care, feeding tube care, urinary catheter care, IV therapy, wound care, CPM machine adjustments, and appliance of TLSO braces.

I worked at HealthSouth Rehab Hospital in Sarasota as one of my very first Nursing jobs after graduating. I liked it a lot!! We had a few different teams I worked on with numerous different types of patients. Write back when you can about your experience so far.

Really? Oh wow cool! Yes I learned a ton working there. I started there in 1996 and left in 2002 only because I moved to Orlando in 2002....It was hard to leave Healthsouth.. They hired LPN's a lot back then. I was a fairly new LPN when I was hired there and got 6 awesome years of experience that looks awesome on my resume. They just opened another inpatient Rehab hospital here in Orlando and I tried to possibly land an interview there and being that I'm an LPN they never called me to interview me...Prob because they don't hire them anymore...
