First day of clinicals

TODAY.......been up since 3, gotta go an hour away for long term care by 7.

What should I expect, I'm SO nervous!!! We've only been in class for 6 weeks and we are doing clinicals :)

I'm scared my head will be bitten off lol

I was so nervous the first time I walked into a patient's room I almost passed out from the sheer panic. It will feel more natural each time. You probably will not get your head bitten off. Believe it or not, most people want you to succeed.!!

I'm sure your instructor briefed you guys about how you should be interacting on your unit. ie ettiquette for lack of a better word. Being super well-prepared is the best antidote for these feelings. Make sure you review anything rattling around in your mind

Remember, its perfectly normal to feel nervous, everybody is, so don't freak out that you're freaking out :)

Try to get there a little early. Go easy on the caffeine. Good luck with your clinicals!
