Feeling squeamish during a urinary catheter insertion is not an abnormal feeling the first time, Nurselady. It's merely a little feeling of empathy for your Patient.

Now, even feeling a little entertained is okay too.

But feeling... oh... a little "elated" during a urinary catheter insertion would be considered abnormal.

But feeling relieved due to urinary retention during a urinary catheterization would be okay, too. Especially by the Patient.

Remember to drain off no more than 1000ml at a time, okay?

Oh, BTW: Welcome to AN.com, Nurselady!
