Finland RN moving MD - best way to get the License

Published

Hello everybody,

I´m a RN from Finland and I´m planning to move with my family to Maryland this autumn. We are very excited about his new adventure :)

I´m wondering what is the quickest and easiest way to get the RN license and Greencard. I read a lot about the application process, I made the CGFNS profile and I´m preparing for my IELTS exam right now.

I honestly get a little bit confused and overwhelmed by all the information out there. Obviously I´m looking for the best way to get the license and Greencard. I read about the NCL states and that Montana is apparently an easier state to get the license since the requirements are more lax. For instance, you don´t need an IELTS exam to get the license, however, I need this exam anyways for the Visa Screening, right? So it wouldn´t make any difference for me - I could apply directly in MD as well.

And there are many other requirements and steps you need to take which I don´t fully understand. I´m not afraid to put in the work, just would like to go the easiest path. :D

I would be very grateful if somebody could give me some advice on this and share your experience.

Thank you all and have a nice day!
