Finishing Up Pre Reqs...FINALLY!

YAY!!! I am finishing up my prereqs this fall as well. At least, I am for one program. I may be moving out of state (from TX and UMHB to KS and KU) and the program at KU requires one more semester of rereqs

In the fall I am taking A&P II, Chem, Pub Speaking, and Dev. Psych. If I move, I will have to take THREE lab sciences in the fall EEEKKK!!! At my current school, I can take Micro and one other course with the first semester of nursing classes.

Congrats you two! I hope everything works out for you Jennie. One more semester really isn't too bad when you think about, it's taken me five so far and it's going to be at least one more just waiting to apply and hear back from nursing schools. Lol. You just gotta do what you gotta do!

I'll be applying next spring, and hopefully starting the following summer semester. If not, I'll reapply and start in the fall. Right now I am taking A&P 1 and psych.

This fall I am taking micro, statistics, American lit 1, a computer science class, and anthropology.

In the spring I will take A&P 2, nutrition, American lit 2, and medical ethics.

If I can somehow get my GPA up (my university is very competitive) hopefully I will be accepted!

Me! Me! I'm taking Intro to Micro and Human Dev in the fall and applying for my program in January. I'll still have to take a Humanities course in the spring, but it's not required prior to application. I'm so excited to finally be seeing that mid-point light in the tunnel ahead.

I am taking my last 2 pre-req's this Fall. I only have micro and sociology to take and then will be applying to enter the LPN-RN accelerated program in February! I have taken a very complicated route to get here, including leaving the nursing program and completing an associate degree in paralegal studies! I am so ready to continue on my journey to become an RN. Good luck to all my fellow students!

EDP 200 (lifespan/dev)

Statistics

Education (gen ed)

Spring 2013:

Psio and Anat II

And some other classes when I declare a minor

P.S. Sorry to threadjack, but I have a question for y'all. I got two c's in pre-req's. One C in second semester of Chemistry and another C in Psio and Anat (5 week class). I don't really have time to retake these classes if I'm planning to apply in February for Fall 2013 admission. If you saw my last thread, my other grades were fine and these are hopefully the only 2. I don't want to keep wasting time.

Congrats to everyone! My excitement has doubled hearing from all of you about being so close to nursing school too! I was getting so discouraged for a while since I got COMPLETELY shut out of micro bio and physio last semester. I was something like 38th and 45th (or something equally ridiculous) on the wait list for both class and I just thought "THIS IS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN." It is happening now though and I feel recharged and ready to rock this semester. YAY! :heartbeat

As for Kcee it really depends on your school, almost all of the schools I will be applying to weigh pre req gpa very highly in the selection process so if your school does the same those C's could really hurt. However if they look at overall gpa it probably is not that big of a deal. I would say stick with your plan to apply for Fall and if for whatever you do not get in on your first try retaking those courses you earned C's in would probably be the best place to start to make you a more appealing candidate. Hopefully it won't come to that though and good luck!!!!! :hug:
