I finished 1/2 of an ADN program 2 1/2 years ago. The program changed our classes graduation date and I was pregnant so I dropped out in order to finish somewhere else. I had all A's and 2 B's. Now I'm ready to go back and finish school.
Do you know what the policy is on transferring my classes? Do schools generally make you start over after a certain date? I am calling the local schools tomorrow but wondering if any of you had experience with a situation like this?
Thanks!!

Alot depends on where you went to school, and how you left. Were classes completed? Were they program classes or pre and co requisites? Is the school accredited?
You need to contact the school and ask these questions, and how to get back to school.
I had a 10 year gap in attending college, but my pharm tech program credits transferred, because I had commpleted the program and had the certificate, and it was a reputable accredited school. Some class credits are only good for a certain amount of time.
good luck!

And some schools won't accept credits from another institution, no matter what the circumstances. My school changed curriculums while I was in the middle of the stream. There were many students who ended up getting caught without being able to finish, when this happened. The school's position was that they didn't care, because they felt they did the right thing by warning the students and prodding them along with their drop dead dates.
