Fingerprints Rejected

Has anyone had any experience with their fingerprints being rejected while endorsing to California? I called the Board yesterday to check the status of my application (over 15 weeks after it had been received), only to find out my fingerprints had been rejected that day. Apparently they were cleared by the DOJ, but not the FBI, and the man I spoke with at the Board could not give me a reason why. So anyway, they want me to mail reprints.

I want to get them done today as my local police department only does them Tuesdays and Thursdays, but when I spoke to the Board on the phone, he said that there was a letter coming to me via snail mail and I would need that to re-do my prints.

Can I go ahead and get my reprints done, or do I have to present this letter from the board to my local PD?

Thanks!
