FINGER PRINTING

I was arrested 8 years ago- the charge was theft but it was me removing things my own home after a divorce. I was never convicted and charges were removed from my record. If I am fingerprinted will that arrest show up? and will it hurt my chances on getting a RN license?

This info can be found on the website used to download the fingerprint app (I forgot where since its been 3 years since I got my fingerprint card). Also, as far as getting a license and job, I want to say you should be fine, but this will depend on your area background requirements and minimum requirements of your state BON.

For my area, there is a laundry list of things that can disqualify you, but the major points were to not have a felony, not warrants, no DUIs in the last 7 years, no arrest in the last 7 years, and no misdimeanors in the last 3 years. In my state, you would be fine, but again it will vary slightly from state to state.

Annonymously call a nursing advisor at your choice school and ask. Or even contact a hospital HR is possible if you cant find the info on the net.
