hello
i'm about to graduate in may, and i'm beginning to start thinking about finding my first job in the hospital. what was most important when you were looking for your first job? was it a good salary, good insurance, distance from home, good new grad orientation?

The most important thing is the "fit" between your personal strengths and preferences and the work environment. The search for the best job begins and ends with examining yourself -- really knowing yourself well.
After you have thoroughly assessed yourself -- not only your likes and dislikes, but also your strengths and weaknesses. Then you can look at the different possible jobs and see which ones meet your needs the best.
