finally a NICU nurse!

Specialties NICU

I just accepted the position I recently interviewed for in a level IV NICU at a children's hospital. I am so stoked! I've wanted to do NICU since my early teens and have always wanted to work in a children's hospital so I am pretty excited! :)

Thank you! I am super excited! I am also a night owl, so hopefully the adjustment won't be so bad. Now I need to pass my NCLEX! I'm using UWorld, and I love it so far.

When I graduated, my school recommended the Saunders NCLEX review, and the Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment book, and to do approximately 100 practice questions per day, complete with understanding the rationales for both what you got wrong AND what you got right (UWorld wasn't around but it seems pretty great). They said the ones who did this almost always passed. So I always recommend the 100 questions per day to graduates studying for the NCLEX. We had a 98-100% pass rate for years running, so I guess they were doing something right! ;)
