:yeah: I have finally heard from the State Board. However, due to my "criminal history" 12yrs ago, I had to get all my court and probation dispositions. That was difficult, because it happened so long ago, they got destroyed. So I had to get proof about that. That proof letter was $12.00 alone. For all my other court documents was a $1.00 per page. I also, had to get 3-5 letters of personal and proffessional references. I got 15. It's amazing how all my friends and past employers want to see this work out for me. I also, had to write a letter of explanation for my "criminal history". Everything goes out in the mail on Monday......So I can wait some more...... I honestly hope this works out, so I can be proof , that even with a record, we too can still be a c.n.a. So all you nurses out there, please pray for me ... I so deserve this 2nd chance in life....Thank you for listening...........:)

Fingers crossed! I'm not a nurse yet, but I'll pray for you anyway :)

It's nice to know so many people out there love you isn't it? 15 letters of recs is quite something!

Absolutely!!!! And it doesn't hurt, that 9 of them are from R.N.'s. I live next door to one. 5 of my highschool mates are R.N.'s. My cna instructor and my preceptor, that's two. And my parent's neighbor, that makes 9. It will help.....I hope. Everything goes in the mail tomorrow. Now, it's time to wait some more.... I just found out that I may not be able to find a job w/in 20miles of where I live. I may have to travel, at least, 30-35miles away. Not really sure if it's worth it, for the low pay cna's get, ya know???

Low pay is a relative thing. Ya, 60 miles round trip is a lot of traveling, especially if your fuel costs negate your wages. But if you're looking to eventually obtain an RN (depending on your record), the experience may be priceless. Let us know how it goes!
