Finally got CPNE date!!

Published

Yay!! I finally got my date for the CPNE. I sent my paperwork in in November and it got accepted the beginning of December. It has taken almost three months to get a date but I finally got it!!! April 13th through the 15th in Grady Memorial in Atlanta!!! I told the girl I might be the only one there since the test date is Friday the 13th!! LOL Any one else testing on this date?

That's not necessarily all true if u want an earlier date. I paid Feb. 27th called Feb. 28th got acceptance and date for April 13th-15th someone cancelled. U have call everyday cuz someone will cancel...

That's encouraging! Thanks for the info. I read somewhere that you have to have a physical before you can apply for the CPNE. Is that right and are there any other requirements that I should know about so I'm not set back time-wise?

Yep, there's a few more things that need to be done besides send money :). If you log into your MyExcelsior account and click on the tab, "My Details", you'll see a link under the CPNE heading that reads, "Required documents for the CPNE Application".

Basically, you'll need the following:

* Approved CPR card

* Criminal background check

* Health status report (this is the "physical" you referred to

* Passport-style photo of you (smile!)

* Documentation of asepsis/infection control education

All the documents (in .pdf format) are available at that link... just expand the little "+" sign for each requirement.

Good luck!

Thank you so much!! I sent my advisor an email and asked her the same question and she didn't give me any of this information!! I do check "my details" often but it's usually to make sure that they've given me credit for a class that I've completed. Thank you again!

Yes, I did the CPNE online workshop with Sheri. I may sign up for the Thursday check off, that's actually a good idea. Yes, u will need a physical but it's not as bad as it may seem. I'm staying at the recommend Hotel as well. I'll e-mail you.
