Filipino UK nurse going to Australia

Hi! I'm a Filipino currently working in UK as a Theatre nurse. I applied for a job in Australia and fortunately I was accepted for the job. My problem now is I don't have Ahpra registration. Anyone who can help me how to go about the registration and have it really fast? i have read in the their website and some threads regarding registration though. I just want to learn it from somebody who knows and has experience. My visa here in UK will be expiring this coming october and i don't want to renew it though my employer wants to renew my contract. thanx!

I know this post is already old but just to give an answer. I am a Filipino graduate but working here in the UK for almost 3 years now. I underwent an overseas nursing programme to be registered here. I recently applied for registration in AHPRA (NMBA) and they accepted my application for registration. I have to go to Australia by July to present the needed documents personally.

by this, it means there is a possibility that they will recognize the bridging programme in the UK. I am not sure about them accepting the nurses who underwent OSCE (exam) though

Yes, i have applied already. I got a proposal for registration but with conditions because my medication management lacked supporting documents. I was invited to make a submission which i just did. I am yet to wait for the final decision.

And yes, I took the ielts exam beforehand. May i know what level is your ONP?

Did you mean you took the ielts again mainly for this application? About my ONP, i don't know what level it is, but it's with city london univesity. I'm looking to trt to move to OZ but without doing another bridging program.

It is a must to take IELTS when registering with ahpra. Unless you have higher education qualification (i think). Not all UK RN's are granted dorect registration. I think it depends on your level of study (ONP).It is still worth trying though.

I read something about it like you dont have to take it again if are currently working in an english speaking country, and i thought there is only one ONP in uk for overseas nurses, I didn't realise there are levels for that, anyway i also had a 2 year degree of nursing here, don't know if that counts but will give it a try.

Im a UK nurse applying for AHPRA registration as well. I did my ONP at City London University.My RO asked for this document.

Please provide the following information for your Overseas Nurses Programme.

· Criterion 3: Evidence of program of study accreditation: please complete the document provided in the link below. Send this document to the independent professional regulatory authority or agency that accredited the program of study you completed and request that they provide the response directly to AHPRA as soon as possible. Request for accreditation evidence - program of study

Have you encountered this before.Im afraid im clueless on how to obtain this.
