Filipino RN migrating to canada... agencies?? HELP!!!

Published

hi everyone!

i'm just wondering if i can apply to canada on my own coz i'm here in the us right now (but i'm from the philippines). i feel like i need to go thru an agency since i don't know anything about the process like the hospitals i can apply to or about the temporary registration. i found one agency but the thing is they're asking for $2000. it includes the assessment fees, ices credential eval fees, report costs and criminal record checks. but it doesn't include the application for the exam. any advice?

if you guys know any other good agencies please tell me. like if you or anyone you know had a good experience about it.

also, what if i have a husband? can i bring him with me as early as i start doing the temporary registration and when i sit for the exam and will he be able to work there also? and what visa should i get when i do the temporary registration and the exam? do i have to go back to the philippines? coz i'm only under tourist visa here in the us.

hope someone can anwer all my questions!!

thanks a lot!!!

There are already many threads here about working in Canada, just have a good read about them.

You are going to have to go back to the Philippines since your tourist visa is going to expire before you can possibly get things done to work in Canada.

All of these questions have been answered in other threads on this forum; please just look for them. And since each province has their own licensure just like each state in the US, you are going to have to select a specific province first.

Take some time for the reading here.

Best of luck to you.
