Hi everyone,
I’m an IEN from Philippines, moved here to Canada as immigrant and became an RN (wrote CRNE). I was wondering what will be the process for me if I want to work in Texas. I have been working in the NICU for 9years here, level2 NICU though.
1. What’s the best route to get TN Visa or SSN. I know there are agencies out there willing to get it processed, my concern is would they offer orientation? I know US mostly are level 3 or 4 NICUs. I don't wanna be thrown in the waters right away.
2. So my processing will be the same as any other IENs right? Does being a Canadian citizen and having Canadian license give me any advantage?
3. What is the work condition like in US compared to Canadian hospitals? Mostly all hospitals here are unionized so pay is the same wherever you work.
4. How much is the pay rate, differentials, and benefits?
Any input would be much appreciated! Thank you!!

1. The first thing your going to need to do is write the NCLEX test unless you haven't already
2.yes being a Canadian citizen & having a Canadian license gives you advantage because its easy for you to obtain your TN visa
3.Work conditions are going to vary on where you work.where I work in Georgia its completely night & day difference from when I was working in canada and I don't think I could work in a canada again LOL
4.pay rate is going to determine on your experience differentials also going to depend on where work and there policy
Hopes this helps
