Fighting Involuntary Termination

Has anyone ever fought involuntary termination at a hospital, either by going higher up the chain in command or through an attorney?

I contacted my private nursing carrier today, and should hear back from an attorney soon. But I'm really worried about my nursing career, as its too easy for management to target a nurse due to their impossible expectations of nursing these days. And you can't always get your hands on documents/documentation that would show you provided good nursing care and/or that a patient is lying.

I found out today that NSO does not deal with employer disputes, only with issues with the nursing board. Contacted a nursing attorney, who strongly recommended that all nurses carry private . I'm passing this on for others as NSO is only approx. $100/yr. Well worth the cost for added piece of mind as from what I've seen, I don't trust hospitals to back me up if there is any patient complaint!
