Hi everyone, this is my second "help!" post. I'm reviewing for NCLEX, and don't have my text books, only saunders and kaplen. Anyhow, I'm having trouble remembering how to assess FHTs with fetal lie. For example, FHTs are best heard WHERE when the baby is Right Posterior.....upper R quadrant I think. And if the baby is R Anterior the FHTs are heard lower R quadrant? Does this make any sense? Please help!

I find fetal heart tones BEST along the curvature of the fetal back. I do Leopold's maneuvers whenever possible to find the best place to do this.
