Hello Everyone!
Thought it would be best to discuss, share info, stats, updates, info on Summer 2023 On Ground Program at Felician University.
Previous Cohorts please feel free to share how the program is going or give any tips!
Really would Appreciate it.
YBrownRN said:Hey guys thanks for sharing on this thread I am also interested in joining May 23 but I can’t find much info about the program I have mixed feelings as well due to the reviews
I was able to find information from FB Group and the Felician Nursing on facebook. I read the ABSN catalog to get a more detailed idea of what to expect. I compared this with Mercy College and College of Mount Saint Vincent. From my knowledge, Felician is a accredited nursing program and has a Masters programs for Nursing. I currently work in a hospital. And my Job has Felician on the accreditation list.
I heard mixed reviews about the Hybrid, which I why I opted for Summer-On Ground 2023. The curriculum for the Hybrid is almost impossible for me. It doesn’t look doable, unless you have Nursing background or really good memorizing skills. Each semester requires 5-6 classes in as little as 14 weeks. That’s insane! I’m sure there will be weekly test for each course. You can view the curriculum on Felician ABSN. For the 18 Month on ground, you are only taking 4 classes per semester Aka 16 weeks. That seems more do-able for me.
Let me know if you found any info as well
Thank you so much YBrownRN , I also opted out of hybrids because of the insane curriculum, the on ground program seems doable, hopefully my acceptance email comes in tomorrow because they left me a voicemail to expect it before the end of the week. Please let’s stay connected and study together, I currently work as patient care technician in the emergency room. Have you submitted your application for the program?
Thanks guys I appreciate the feedback I actually just spoke with the advisor and my GPA & prereqs check out to be good for their program. I haven’t gotten in as of yet I would like to start in May but now that you guys are saying the on campus is better I might have to switch to that because 5-6 classes is pretty crazy
I’m going to submit the application tonight

Do you work full time ? Are you planning on working your same hours Im a CMA at a hospital
For me I already made my decision because I got accepted into Utica University ABSN but turn it down because of the heartbreaking reviews, I also made a trip to Felician University last week to asked the nursing students how is the program, luckily I saw few students that said good things about the program , most Nursing schools in New York is not accepting online prerequisites, I tried a lot of schools but I think felician is my last stop .LOL

Did you get accepted? YBrownRN
I've been having mixed feelings about going there being that I work full time it's so many mixed reviews I would really like to start and get the program over with but IDK. Also congrats on your acceptance !!
I perfectly understand your feelings, I was feeling same way too , last year August I got accepted into Utica University but the mixed feelings and reviews made me turn down the admission, but I came to understand that school is never easy but dedication made it doable, concerning your job ,I also work full time but I had to prioritize my needs from my wants. Nursing school is not easy .
