Feeling discouraged with Low GPA, looking for nursing schools in Texas

Published

Hi all, just got off a phone call with a nursing program and told me that most of those accepted have a 3.5 GPA or higher and felt pretty discouraged. I will be graduating from A&M in the Spring with a 3.0 GPA (with a non-nursing major) and don't really know where to look. I would like to stay in Texas but want to know if there is a place that will accept me. I'm starting to study for my HESI and TEAS. Ideally Texas A&M is where I would like to continue my nursing degree but I know it is awfully hard to get into.

Hey! Have you looked into the Concordia University Texas Nursing Program? According to the website, they require at least a 3.0 GPA.
