Hello all, First off I just want to say that I have gathered a lot of great information here reading in the forums. I graduated with my RN in May and have been working as a Paramedic for the past 4 years. I have my CPR and ACLS and am looking into getting some emergency specific certs on my own to try to get a leg up. I am looking for an ER position but am getting the "form" rejection letter from all my online applications. I have a per-diem RN position in an urgent care but they dont have full time available as of now.
I know its best to address the cover letter to a specific person but when I have called the HR departments they tell me politely that they do not give out direct emails or names of department managers over the phone. Also is it better to submit both online (going directly to HR) and send a paper resume to the department manager directly? I am just feeling frustrated and wanted to know if its just me. I dont know if its my cover letter/resume that is not what it should be? I have had lots of compliments on it but still no call backs. Thanks for your patience sorry its a long post :icon_roll
