How do you do it all???? I have a school with 600 students and I want to know how everyone else gets all the careplans done in a timely mannor? I know I am suppose to do a classroom careplan on "any medical problem that affects the students ability to learn". But that's everything, between seeing a student every 5mins allday everyday and being called from one end of the buliding to the next, No to mention having to cover 2 other schools as needed. Any tips or advice??? Do you have any good short careplans you could share with me?? :uhoh3:

We were fortunate to start our school year about 2 weeks ahead of students, so we used that time to begin care plans/emergency plans on students with known needs.

We also had a supply of "standard" plans for common issues such as allergies, asthma, seizures, ADD/ADHD, which we then individualized to each particular student.

Other than diabetic students, I had about 5-6 per building that I had to do from scratch, including students with ITP, cardiac arrhythmias, vocal cord dysfunction, and some other rare or pervasive disorders. I saved those as word documents and passed them on to the new nurse so that she can update them and not have to start over.

If this is your first year, it will get easier and quicker with time.
