I need some input from people in similar situations:
I received an email from my program the other day with information about my federal stafford loans for tuiition. They informed me that I qualified for unsubsidized loans which means that I am responsible for the interest that accrues while I am in school. If you qualify for subsidized loans then the government will pay the interest on your loan while you are in school. I asked the loan director at the school why I didn't qualify for subsidized loans and she said more than likely it was because of our household income from the previous year.
My question is: Is there anyone else who is in a similar financial situation who was approved for subsidized loans? I think it would be interesting to hear what kind of federal stafford loans everyone has been approved for.
FYI: I am married, own a house, no kids, and our combined salaries this past year was in the 70-90,000 range.

I was very surprised, but I qualified for the subsidized and unsubsidized loans. I am married, own a house and we made just short of $100,000. The only thing that's different from you is I have three children. That was probably the determining factor. I love my children:1luvu: !
