with all due respect, please do not use the word "jap" as it is derogatory and racist. It is possible that you are too young to know otherwise and it is also possible that you did not know that "jap" is a bad word.

Nurses are held to higher standards here in the United States, as well as in the rest of the world.

Racism has no place in this world, most especially in the health care setting. This is not an admonishment but just to educate you. "Japanese" is the right word to use. Thank you.

to all japanese and non-japanese who i unknowingly stepped on for using the word "jap" - a million apologies (btw, i love your culture - humility, reserve, honor, tradition, bushido and the cool anime - naruto, kenshin himura, dragonball z! )...for using textspell - sorry for the hurt feelings..i hope i can do something to make it better (i'll start by not using textspell again)...lastly, for the free education without admonishment - thank you to the poster..it must have been hard trying to ignore my post. sorry for the emotional encumbrance. I hope i dont get bashed when i say..i hope we're cool now
