Hello, I am not sure if there is another post for students apply for the upcoming Fall 2022 for A-BSN. The application process is a bit confusing for me and wanted a space for all of the upcoming applicants to ask questions and stay connected as it can be stressful if you are doing it alone.
Two things you should be aware of if you are thinking of applying:
1. There are two upcoming information sessions for the following dates.
Wednesday, October 06, 2021 2:00PM -3:30PM
Wednesday, November 17, 2021 2:00PM -3:30PM
2. The Fall 2022 Application Cycle starts November 1, 2021 - March 14, 2022
I have been accepted as well but I have not accepted the offer yet.
For those of you who have been accepted, what is your reasoning behind attending FAU? Is it because of the schools reputation, is it your only choice, location, and/or etc?
Been accepted to a few schools (In-state & also in the North East) plus I live close to Boca so I know the area is amazing and it would be convenient. I am having a hard time deciding at this time. I would appreciate anyone that has been accepted for their opinions and maybe why they considered them over other schools.

My biggest reason for choosing FAU is that I’m moving back home to West Palm so the location is ideal. Another pro is that most accelerated programs are 15-16 months while FAU’s I believe is only 12 (don’t quote me on that)? So all in all, I would get to be a nurse quicker choosing this program as opposed to others. They also have a really good NCLEX pass rate from what I’ve seen. Cost throughout Florida seems to be the same (around $13,000 for the whole program), so if you’re looking at other schools in Florida, I wouldn’t compare them based on cost since the price per credit hour is the same no matter where you go in the state.
other than the confirmation Google doc sheet stating whether we accept or decline, is there anything else we need to do? I know thats due today
Other than the accept/decline doc I know we need to create a CastleBranch account. My issue I’m having is that in order to make the account we have to have a student ID, but without formal acceptance into the program yet and no student ID, how are we supposed to create an account?

I just put zeros in place of the student ID and it went through. don't hold me to that being the right thing to do but I just wanted to get things going so it would be done by the June deadline

That’s right! I just called and they confirmed to put 0s for the student ID and your personal email for the email section. ☺️
oh personal email? when I put the code for florida resident under place order... it said in red to put an FAU email address? did you guys make an account first before hitting place order?

There is no way to have an FAU email/account without a student ID (which we haven’t been given yet). I called and she specifically said use your personal email and all 0s for the student ID. Based on what she told me, you ignore what it says in the red writing on CastleBranch.
that makes sense. I was a previous FAU student and have an email address (buts its from yrs ago) so I was kind of confused. But thank you so much! Congrats on your acceptance as well!
Hello everyone, who do we contact if we have questions about castle branch and whats due. for the student handbook form they ask for Z number, what did u guys put before you submitted it?
