Faster to get my license by endorsement or examination?

Published

Just wondering. I may be getting a job in Georgia, I'm currently interviewing. However, I would like to be informed IF (fingers crossed!) I do get something. I would need to have a Georgia license in two and a half months, regardless of how I get there. They said "25 days" for processing either endorsement paperwork, OR an application to take my boards here. From what I'm reading however, it looks like the GBON tend to take much longer with the licensing process than that. Anybody have any idea which MAY be faster? I talked to my nursing director at my university and she suggested just taking my boards in GA, which I personally think is my best option too. But I'd love input on your experiences with licensing in this state, and specifically time frames of things. I'm a new graduate, and have a BSN, I'm applying for my RN license =) Thanks!

If you do the endorsment route, you'll be adding time to the process. If your sure about GA athen send in your app and test. You can take the test were you are, you don't have to come to GA to take. But don't wait any longer, just do your paperwork.

I have had the same questions. I emailed the GBN and that didn't get me anywhere. I think I will test in GA.
