Family assessment question

Hello everyone!

I am a nursing student, and I have to do a family assessment in a community nursing course. I have to assess a family in a movie- my movie is One Flew Over the Cockoo's Nest.

My primary client is Randel McMurphy, and his family is Chief and Billy. They are the two that "Mac" developed the closest relationship with.

I am having a hard time figuring out the stage of family development, because it is such a non-traditional family structure.

Any suggestions?

This sounds like the same class I took awhile back. Cant remember my movie. I think I chose the stage that most seemed relevant to them, and then stated strong statements why it was that stage. If your book doesn't help try google books for another that may help. Goodluck!
