After looking at the site it will take 4-6 weeks to receive letters. Which is kind of a bummer. I wanted to be able to spend my summer reading over the books for fall but with finding out only a month and half befor start date I doubt I get to do that. (If accepted)
For reference
My gpa is 3.3
HESI score 94% over all.
And I kind of have all my eggs in this one basket. If I'm not selected I plan to get my cna license I've already took the course just need to take state test and just work till the next application time.
Hi Janae!
I also applied for fall. I am nervously awaiting the news as well. The GPA is based on pre-reqs correct? These were my grades:
Anatomy 1: A
Anatomy 2: A
Micro: B
Bio: A
Eng 1: A
Psych: B
My Hesi score was 83 overall, not great but hoping it is enough! Let's keep in touch, and hopefully more people will find this site! I wonder how many people applied for fall?!?
I hope so too! I really hope it's true that they base their decision on your GPA from the your pre-reqs and not overall. I've been an on/off student since the early 00's and some classes I didn't do well in when I wasnt sure of my major or the direction I wanted to take. So it lowered my overall. I think it stands at like a 2.9. but my pre reqs GPA is 3.68. sooo hopefully they consider that lol
The waiting is gonna drive me crazy! Hopefully it's true about the Hesi, I did hear that a lot of people fail it
So it's officially been 4 weeks since the application "deadline" date. I say that loosely because I have heard they have extend the date before when not enough students was qualifiling.
So hopefully we only have 2-4 more weeks of waiting to find out.
Hoping more students who applied post they say the most successful student are those who set up a support/study group around themselves. Lol
Hey CRNAErika,
I just applied too, hoping to start in January. I feel pretty good about my chances of getting in. But the waiting is killing me. I'm also curious about the schedules. I work full time and will have to juggle family, work and school.
If you log in and look at the course schedule, it's easy to imagine us being at school 4 days a week minimum.
Two days for lecture and two days for lab, right? Honestly though. That's fine with me. I've taken all of the co req classes (nutrition and sociology). I'm ready to put in the work.
I wish we could take classes during the summer. Two summer breaks will waste SO much time. My plan is to take online classes towards a BSN during the summer to maximize the use of my time. Crazy, right?

So I'm waiting to either get accepted into the WCCCD nursing program or be denied.
Deadline was May 15, so I wonder how long it will take to find out if you are one of the lucky 60 or not.
I decided to start this post to connect with other students who applied, and see how other process is going. An just connect with ppl who if accepted I could form a study group with.
