Fall 2020 Students San Diego (Grossmont, MiraCosta, Palomar and CSU San Marcos)

Published

Hello!

I have applied to the nursing programs at Grossmont, MiraCosta, Palomar and CSU San Marcos. I have a Bachelor's Degree in an unrelated field and am trying to decide between on a route of study:

1. Accelerated BSN at San Marcos

2. ADN at a Community College then completion program

Here are my thoughts please tell me what your think:

The Accelerated BSN program is accomplished in 2 years. With it being accelerated I believe it is more condensed = more information in a shorter amount of time = more intense and most likely more difficult. This program is more expensive and location is in Temecula.

The Community College route is longer 3.25 years at the shortest. This route is more cost effective (except that one could be working a year sooner). The program is more spread out and the commute would be much less.

Please let me know what your thoughts and experiences are,
