Fall 2017 Saddleback ADN

Published

Anyone applying to Saddleback for Fall 2017? How many points do you have? I think I have 75. I missed the teas cut off, I scored 84.7% and the highest points start at 85%! Ugh

I applied to the same schools as you did. I'm wondering if we will hear from Santa Ana first and have to make a decision before the Saddleback letters come out. Good luck to you!

I'm not sure about Santa Ana, but they normally give you 1-2 weeks to accept or decline the invitation.

Getting anxious!! Bring on the letters!

I know!! Too bad they give us till the end of May to send them...

So I spoke with someone in the nursing department and the Counseling department still has all the applications. Once they are done reviewing the applications, making sure all the classes are correct, they will send the applications to the Nursing review board. They plan on meeting in the beginning of May to get all the letters together and they hope to send them out mid-May!

Has anyone heard anything?

My daughter just received the rejection letter. But I don't understand why she was rejected with point 73 (in my calculation). She is not even in the alternate pool. Were there so many applicants with the points higher than 73? She transferred some credits from the 4 year university she attended. She also has points from AP test she passed in high school. I am wondering if Saddleback not recorded her credits correctly.

Any idea?

I received my acceptance letter and I had 78 points!!

Jazzd171, congratulation!!

Thank you for posting your score. I recalculated my daughter's application and it was 71. So I guess it was too low to get in this time while 70+ is usually in safe zone but not this time.

I assume there are many applicants with high points.

9LivesPro, did you get in? I remember you posted that you had 75.

I posted this because I am more disappointed than my daughter who is taking this better. We decided to take this rejection as an opportunity to rethink whether she really wants to be a nurse or not.

Neko07 - I'm sorry to hear your daughter didn't get the acceptance. Seems like she was right on the borderline because I received an acceptance and I had a score of 72. 71 is a really good score in my opinion and she should definitely not give up on applying again if she wants to be a nurse! It just seems like there were a lot of other high scoring applicants too. :(

Congrats Socalgirl! Do you know what paper session you are going to?

I'm sorry to hear about your daughter Neko07, that's really confusing because I only had 68 points but got in as an alternate and then received news that there was an opening this past weekend.
