Members are discussing receiving offers from various nursing programs in Canada, including McMaster, Western, UofT, and York. Some are seeking advice on which program to choose based on factors like GPA, commute, and future career goals. There is also a focus on deadlines for accepting offers and creating social media groups for incoming students.
Hi everyone!
Making this thread for Fall 2025 Accelerated Nursing in Canada (I'm from Ontario!) so we can share where everyone has applied, if they have heard back, application process question, acceptances etc.
Currently I have applied to:

From my knowledge, I think they briefly look at your cGPA, but what they assess competitively is your most recent 5.0 credits. I could be wrong though so maybe emailing the school might be better to double check! Hope I helped and good luck!
Hello Everyone, I have applied to McMaster, Western, York, Trent and Queens for accelerated stream, as well as 2 RPN programs (Conestoga and Fanshawe). So far I have heard back from Conestoga both campuses, late February. I just heard from Trent last week, however it is my last choice. Also, the deadline to accept their offer is March 26th, I emailed them to ask if they could push this back because I haven't heard from my top choices (McMaster and Western) but they haven't gotten back. Im kind of worried, what if they can't push back the offer of admission and then I get rejected from Western or McMaster after March 26th. Just for reference, I am in my fourth year of undergrad and am graduating obviously avg is between 80-85 I believe, not sure what scale to use to calculate my actual GPA if someone could answer that question too that would be awesome. Also a certain date or range on when to expect to hear from McMaster and Western would be nice.
Thanks.

I'm in a similar situation with uOttawa (deadline to accept is April 1) and if I don't hear back from other schools I think I will accept their offer and then withdraw it afterwards if I end up getting an acceptance from one of my top choices. McMaster usually starts sending acceptances at the end of April after the Casper deadline which is early April.

I have a GPA of 3.92 in my last 10 credits. My overall GPA is lower (around 3.5).
That's amazing! Are you done all your prereqs? And did you receive an email or did you just check through the portal? Sorry about all the questions, just anxiously waiting to hear back from them as well LOL!

So do I! I would definitely chose UBC if I got in, but at this point I'll take anything 😅
