Couldn't find one posted so I'll start

Deadline July 15, 2025 on NursingCAS

Requirements: 1 year ICU exp. A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.2 or above with a science GPA of 3.2 or above. shadow form and employment verification. 2 references. Bio 1 w/ lab, Bio2 w/ lab, Chem w/ lab, Micro, and college math. CCRN, PALS, ACLS, BLS.

I would love to hear people's thoughts on the 150 word open ended questions 👀

Hey I'm also in the process of applying. How do we feel about sharing our stats? The program representative said they're expecting >400+ applications, I think they usually interview 80-130 people for 45 total spots (30 in CT, 15 in Austin).

Congratulations on taking that first step!

I am down to share if you are.

Wow, that is a lot of people. I wonder if they favor in-state? I am applying out of state.

I don't think they favor in-state. I've went a couple information sessions and an in-person event, faculty is pretty nice.

My stats:

BSN GPA: 3.95, science GPA: 3.96 (A's in all Fairfield Pre-Reqs: A&P 1, 2, Chem, Microbio, Stats). total GPA: 3.60 (including my ADN program). Last 60 credits: 3.72?

2 years CTICU (level 1 trauma, academic center) taking care of ECMO, LVADs, Impella, IABPs, CRRT, open-heart & vascular surgery patients. Very high acuity as we are the only heart transplant / high volume + academic center in the middle of PA. Tons of Swans & gtts. I should have about 3 years by the time I'll (hopefully) get into a program, but I'm applying at the 2-year mark.

CCRN and TNCC certifications. BLS, ACLS, PALS.

Shadowed CRNAs for 40 hours. Unit council member. I present monthly research to help educate our staff at a Cardiac Research club. Precept & mentor to newer nurses. AACN & AANA member. I attended a 3-day Diversity CRNA airway workshop / conference at Fairfield as well. Attended one-day anesthesia seminar at another CRNA program. Attended my state's CRNA association conference. Attended the AANA mid-year congress (in D.C.). I try to be as involved as I can since finishing nursing school. No major volunteering or GRE. No graduate level science courses.

It's really competitive so I've just been trying to figure out what else I can do at this point.

Sounds like you are absolutely the perfect candidate!! Amazing stats and involvement! Do you know what kind of applicants they are looking for?

My stats: BSN 4.0, Science 3.85 with 4.0 in Fairfield pre-reqs, cumulative 3.9.

2 years CICU this Summer - Level I academic center taking care of Impella, IABP, CRRT, hypothermia post-arrest, swans/gtts, pre-transplant care. Fair amount of medical overflow so liver failure, DKA, respiratory failure, multi-organ failure, etc. No surgical patients. Cross-trained in our Cardiovascular PACU.

CCRN, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, a research certification, trilingual, DAISY Nominee

About 40 hours shadowing - but will only have about 15-20 on my application because part of the hours date further back, part of two research projects, precept/clinical instructor, charge. NTI and a local conference. AACN member. Couple committees along with co-chair of system EBP/Research Council. Volunteer at a local food pantry. Have some involvement from nursing school as well.

I am in the same boat as you, feeling that imposter syndrome haha.

These are also amazing stats!! We're the same people haha, anxiety riddled. When I spoke with students / faculty, it looked like they were looking for people that can excel both academically and could handle the rigors of the program. Interviews, as far as I know, are a mix of EI and clinical. But, I heard it's not high stress, much more of a conversation-type. Have you applied yet? I'd be happy to connect with you.

does anyone know if admissions are rolling?
