I have just recieved the results of three exams and an assignment. Sad to say I failed the assignment and the anatomy and physiology exam. Any body got any helpful hints and tips please?

It is such a struggle and failing these means no summer break for me. BOO HOO

Put more effort towards studying the material. Read each section and summarize what you read in a notebook. You will be amazed how much information you will retain when you read and write. I am taking A&P 1, working part-time and full-time jobs. Reread the material over and over again. Paragraph by pargraph, section by section. I hate to say it but you may have to cut out tv time, time with friends, etc. Sometimes, I have to ignore calls from family members to study. Pay attention to questions at the end of each section or the end of each chapter. It's not hard, you can do this, just put more time and effort towards studying, understanding the information. It's all about EFFORT! Don't be afraid to goggle certain topics, sometimes having another person explain something differently helps.

Read the book, and get an A+P coloring book. It may feel silly coloring pics but the more time you spend with the material the better you will retain it. You will need most of it later in the core classes.

Hi, dmb306!

You will find that most of the students who are taking anatomy and physiology hang out and post on the Pre-nursing Student Forum (https://allnurses.com/forums/f198/). There are several "sticky" threads there on anatomy. If you have specific questions about anatomy and physiology and how to study for it, you should ask there to get advice. Here is a thread with some good Internet links to anatomy websites to help you with this subject:

You can also do a search of the Pre-nursing Student Forum or this forum specifically for "anatomy" threads.

I don't know what to advise you about nursing subjects because it is such a broad subject. The student forums have "sticky" threads on them that address various common nursing subjects that pose some difficulty for students that you might want to check out. Or, start a thread with a question if you have a specific concern about something.
