Just one of the many students stressing after my second attempt at the nclex. First try, I was so confident that I passed. Went home and told everyone it was a success, only to find out that I FAILED MISERABLY AT 75Qs. A whole 2 months later, with Kaplan and ATI I went in feeling bit nervous. I was last to leave after 5 hours and 58minutes. About 10 SATA LOTS OF PRIORITY AND INFECTION, 2-3drag and drops, no math calculations. It was VERY DIFFICULT and at this moment I rather not to the PVT. I'm very hopeful, yet unsure.

Hey, if you gotta wait for your results from the state, that's what you gotta do.

Just try and relax, worrying at this point will not change your results (I know easier said than done). Take yourself out to some place nice or hide in a movie. Something to reward yourself and distract you. You have worked very hard through nursing school and now getting ready for this exam. Just breath and know that you will see RN by your name and hopefully very soon. I'll be praying for quick and successful results! :D

Nothing you do that increases your stress level will change the outcome. Take some solace in knowing that since you went all 265 questions that you were right on the pass-fail line and the system couldn't determine conclusively if you passed or failed. In short, you're "near passing" all the way along. That's a whole lot better than flat-out failing at 75 questions.

Checking the PVT won't change the outcome, so it's OK to check it. If you failed, you'll get a report (just like the first time) that will show you what your performance was and what you'll need to do.

If you want to put much of your anxiety to bed over this, check the PVT and if your State participates in Quick Results, pay for that, unless your license shows up (or should have shown up) by the time the quick results would be available. Personally, I'd wait most of the day so that you can be sure that the exam will have been scored twice (per their protocol) and you'll have accurate results from the PVT.

I hope you passed :)

I hope you passed :)

Thanks emadore. ;)

It's true. I'll just wait and go visit my mother, to get my mind off things!

Btw:those are one of my favorite quotes!

Failed on 2nd attempt. What sources should I use for my 3rd attempt?

All of them, dont limit yourself to 1. Use Kaplan (the book may be enough) NCBSN, Hurst, Prep U, NClex3500 (its free :)), Davis etc. Do TONS of practice questions, and practice alt formats. read the rationales and work to understand what they are asking. Youll get through this, just keep plugging at it :)

Just took it today for the 4th try! I did Lacharity priority, delegations, which I hadn't looked at before.Computer shut off At around 130

I sure hope you passed! Im just wondering, did you take the Kaplan review and ATI predictor tests? if so what were you scoring on those? Did you feel they were accurate at predicting your strengths and weakness?
