Failed NCLEX twice now what do Ido?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

So I graduated in August of 2015 and I have taken the test twice now and got all 265 questions each time. I am frustrated. I have used ATI and Kaplan and both have not been enough. I really want to prep well and pass the third time. My other concern is that I know the test is changing in April and with how long it takes the BRN to process stuff I may not be able to take it in March so I would have to take it in April. Any help would be great.

Thanks

please use UWORLD!

Hi nurse2us, I'm doing Uworld now for my NCLEX prep. I've done 450 questions so far with total

average 56%. What is the preferred UWorld percentages to ensure passing?

Try to use HURST, it worked for me. I like how they discuss topics. Also please purchase LaCharity, very helpful with Prioritization and Delegation. I went through similar situation, it took me multiple attempts until I finally pass NCLEX. Take your time studying, maybe study for 3 hours per day and remember quality over quantity. Yeah the test may be changing but I think that doesn't really matter because the nursing core content is still the same.

What is LaCharity??

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.
What is LaCharity??

It's a book

I passed my nclex with 76questions but I was only scoring between 52-56% in UWORLD. as long as you understand the rationales, whatever your score it should be fine. all the best! God bless

Make sure that when you are answering questions you read the rationale and understand why you got the question right. Also, look at the rationale when you get the question right. Ensure you know Maslow's hierarchy of needs and use your ABC's. Read over Saunder's for content and I do Kaplan but I heard NCSBN was an awesome site to use. Just google NCSBN NCLEX review.
