Failed NCLEX):

Okay so I just wanted to see if anyone could help give me some direction or feedback. I failed my NCLEX first try with 135 questions and I felt like I did really good when I finished the test. I got my candidate report back and I got above passing standard in one area, near passing standard in four areas, and below passing standard in three areas. I did a ton of a practice questions with apps on my phone and I used ExamCram NCLEX RN book to study. Does anybody have suggestions on other books to use or how to study for the next one. I'm taking it as soon as the 45 days is up.

P.S I have no way of taking any of the courses as I'm not even paying for the second try and my dad is helping with that.

Continue with practice questions and be sure to focus your energy on your weak areas (shown on your report) and what you feel were your weak areas when you took the exam.

Make de sure you're reading and understanding the rationales behind the nclex practice questions and make sure you read the test taking strategy tips the book provides. Sometimes the way you approach the question determines if you get it right. Pick out the extra information and look for key words. Good luck!

lots of threads on this topic that you might find of assistance as well.

I found the lippincott Q&A book extremely helpful. Does your school offer any additional assistance/tutoring for students who didn't pass the first try? Best of luck in your second attempt!!

My director of the program is getting with me to set up some kind of plan, but she's the one who got us to use the ExamCram book and I'm not sure if that book helped the most. And thank you(:
