Hello All, I am sitting here just absolutely horrified! I failed. I don't know what to even say or do. I am just so dissapointed. I had so many people awaiting my results and I feel like the dumbest biggest let down of my life so far.
What do I do to study correctly for this exam? I read the kaplan book front to back this time. I did not do a review session bc my school didn;t offer it. But, I really put some effort into the test. I know that there seems to always be that one in your class that doesn't pass but I didn't want to be "THAT ONE". What do I do?? I live in Indiana. Does anyone know about a good review class or anything. Because honestly I don't know what else to study. I hate this. Has anyone ever gotten the wrong results from the quick results?? Worth trying, right?

I'm so sorry to hear this. Don't beat yourself up about it. Formulate a plan of attack and do it again! I strongly suggest the Virtual ATI review course. You can learn more about this at www.atitesting.com.
YOU CAN DO IT! You only fail when you stop trying. :)

I am very sorry,
did you do a lot of questions? The reason I am asking is because a lot of people know the theory very well, but can not see, how to use it on practice, and questions are based on practice most of the time. I would sudjest you to make as many questions as you can, and you will catch how to answer them. My husband had this problem- it took him a while (3 times) to get, what they wanted from him. He used Saunders, Mosby and Kaplan questions progressively.
Good luck to you.

Please believe that you are not the first nor the last to fail that test. Dont feel dumb either. Summa cum laude's fail that test on thier first time...Ive known 2. So, pick your self up and gain a new strategy for this thing. Study atleast 3500 questions before you take it again. KAplan's good, but you have to know HOW to ANSWER those questions regardless of your practices. Good luck to you and dont lose hope. You didnt complete nursing school for nothing.

i know how you feel. i've been there twice!!! You shouldn't beat yourself over this cos you will pass. I have never heard about getting the wrong result from quick results but you never know, right? Consider using Suzanne's study guide. I am using it and retesting next month. We can do this!!

Don't give up! I have not yet tested but I can tell you what has brought my practice testing scores up......Do LOTS of questions and make sure you read and understand the rationales. The more posts I read the crazier this test seems! Many, many people have been where you are now and have passed..you can do it. ~Jess

I know this is very discouraging, but you can do it - I knew one nurse who failed 3 times before she eventually passed. Keep studying!! My mom, who is also a nurse, says that some people are just not test takers when it comes to the NCLEX and have to work harder to get there. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!:flowersfo

If anyone would like my access to Kaplan, good until Sept. 2, PM me. I have at least 500 questions left in my q-bank, and I found out today that I passed my NCLEX-RN, so I don't need them anymore:balloons:. I'd be happy to share my password & login.

I would give this site a try. www.learningext.com. It is a review course done by NCSBN which is the company that makes up the NCLEX. I've found them very helpful.
Good Luck,

hey did u feel like you passed, failed, or did ok i took my pn 1week ago for the second time and mine shut off at the min 85 i timed out last time and only answered 94 i was near and above passing im freaking out because what if i totally bombed it that would suck. some advise i was so much more relaxed this time and i did things differently like i went by myself, i spent some extra time with my kids before i left, and i was thinking to myself its just like you were at home at the computer no stress. i felt ok about the test i can remember getting some write and thinking theres no way i got the choose all that applys. i cant help thinking im going to get the thick envelope again. the first time i knew i failed. i just keep telling myself if i fail again i know what it feels like. but for me to go to close to passing to failing i even too a review class that shows u how to answer the ?s anyway u will be fine we can do this i dont care if it takes me a gabbillion times. good luck to us all.

do Kaplan, expensive but they covered what you need to know and how to answer the questions. I think if i didnt do it i would of never passed. I also sujest before kaplan do the learning ext to review content then Kaplan to learn how to answer the questions. They have many tips and tricks how do them.
