help nclex tomorrow!
I think it is a very good sign, considering amount of materials you reviewed. When my husband walked out of the exam- he said right away he did it (and he did), it was not his first time, on the first try he felt very bad. So let's keep our fingers crossed.

help nclex tomorrow!
No matter how much material you reviewed, it is absolutely normal to feel, that you could have done more and you are still not ready. I think it is very good, that you used different sourses, so you got yourselve prepared for unknown format of question. For the exam itselve I would recommed you not to change your routine - it will just stress you more- if you used to wake up at 6 am - and have big lunch at 12 - do it, do not take any sedatives. Good luck to you.

I'm thinking of giving up on the lpn license
It must be very hard for you, but do not give up. As someone mentioned before- nobody can give an advice on what to do now, but yourselve. But if you make a lot of questions- you know which ones go for you the worst. If you answer a guestion and have a problem with it- right away review this topic - make little steps, one after another. I know a girl, who got her license on the 2nd time, and you have no idea how stupid she is, in fact I have never seen more slow and disoganized person in my life, on top of which she has a 2-year old boy, who is sick all the time, and husband, who can not hold a job, so she had to work full time.

Confusion regarding NCLEX eligibility
I am not sure about second elegibility letter (not sure what it is), you can call them and ask-866-496-2539 or e-mail [email protected] But you would need second ATT though.

75=failed!!!-help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am very sorry, did you do a lot of questions? The reason I am asking is because a lot of people know the theory very well, but can not see, how to use it on practice, and questions are based on practice most of the time. I would sudjest you to make as many questions as you can, and you will catch how to answer them. My husband had this problem- it took him a while (3 times) to get, what they wanted from him. He used Saunders, Mosby and Kaplan questions progressively. Good luck to you.

Confusion regarding NCLEX eligibility
That is a common policy - if you failed- you can not take another test for 45 days, it used to be 90 before. Just wait, use this time to review more materials. Good luck

Would you want your children to go into nursing?
I would strongly recommend to be a nurse. A lot of nurses get used to always having a job, and job right after job, have a good pay and a lot of options in career and life, they forget how other people work at one place, being under stress of being fired, not having oportunities to grow- moneywise and careerwise. Nursing certainly is a hard path, not for everyone, but it is the same with any other profession - would you rather be an eletrician, who jumps on and off his ladder all day long, running lines? Or to be a sales rep., who works on comission- he did not make enough sales this months, has nothing to pay his mortgage with, and would be fired next months if does not improve?

What can LPN/LVN's do?
In terms of practice, it really depends on the state- in some there is just little difference between RN and LPN, but for all- LPN can not administer blood and blood products and istablish IV. In terms of test- the most unstable patient-RN.

I think I just wasted the last 2 yrs of my life!
I think what you feel right now is part of the pregnancy- you feel overwelmed and rushed, give yourselve some time, do not overdramatize the situation. May be try to change to part time job- much less stress- big perk of nursing- a lot of jobs are available. Consider nursing home- my husband works in one- in most places your primary responsibility is going to be paper work and staffing- much less direct patient care- LPNs are there.

I think I just wasted the last 2 yrs of my life!
I am very sorry you feel this way. I have a friend, who after 4 years in college worked in ER for 1 day and never came back. What can I say - life is not over- when one door closes- another opens. b4 my career I worked in a medical office in billing/collection- most health insurances have a system of authorizations for certain procedures- like CT, MRI,colonoscopy, etc. The personal who gives this authorizations- RNs, all you do- answer the phone, review patient history and diagnosis. I am from NY and I know couple insurances, who pay up to 80k for this job 8-5 Mon-Fri shift, they require at least 2 years of clinical experience though. So think of your options outside the box. On the other hand, if feel like nursing in any form is not for you- that was just two years- I waisted 5 on my foreign education- they do not accept it here. Good luck to you.

need help with priority questions
First of all - How did the question sound exactly? Very often it mentions immediately after or 24 hour after surgery, if so go from there- if immediately- pain is not a problem yet, NPO- may be- but nobody is hungry right after sugery, IV - my choice; if it is 24 hours after- I would choose pain, because everything else is solved by this time. If the question sounds the way you presented- I would coose IV, because question does not give any more info to support other aswers, and fluids would be a priority here - not the pain or food

results
From what I heard- quick result are available not b4 48 hours, I even know a case, when it took over 4 days to get quick results. Just be patient now- go BBQing, watch fireworks.

What are high or low level questions?
Low level of question means, that a certain- high- percentage of student answered this question right. High level of question means- percentage of right answers was the lowest. The exam starts with low level questions and progresses to high level. Computer draws a graffic, if you aswer low level right - you get more difficult one, if wrong- easier one. So if graffic constantly goes up - you pass. If graffic is inconclusive- you get more and more questions. So basically, the more difficult questions you get by the end of the test, the better chance you have of passing. Good luck.
