CCRN...has anyone taken it
Does anyone have tips/comments regarding this test??

Is it just my unit?
Does your unit clerk think (s)he runs the unit. Do they overstep their bounds and attempt NURSING care? My clerk knows more about nursing issues than admitting patients in the computer. She's in the patients room "helping" when she needs to answer phones and constantly telling nurses what they should be doing because "she" knows how it feels to be a patient. Plz, share your opinions. Because, i know it can't just be my unit.

75=failed!!!-help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please believe that you are not the first nor the last to fail that test. Dont feel dumb either. Summa cum laude's fail that test on thier first time...Ive known 2. So, pick your self up and gain a new strategy for this thing. Study atleast 3500 questions before you take it again. KAplan's good, but you have to know HOW to ANSWER those questions regardless of your practices. Good luck to you and dont lose hope. You didnt complete nursing school for nothing.

Any pearls of wisdom or tips from those who have made it to the other side?
Look! it's time to face the real world now. You can still keep your books...to fill up space lol. I'm sure you may want to refer to them in the future or loan them out. Anyway, you have to have a positve attitude. You cant go in there, "knowing that you will fail". Say i'm going to pass this test and thats that. Do remember that that results waiting period will be the worst forty-eight hours of your life...thus far.

Saunders Nclex Review too easy?
Hi. Saunders questions are NOT like the NCLEX. Trust me I know. Those questions are just reviewing your knowledge. The NCLEX are more like Kaplans questions

Just took boards yesterday!!!
As my computer cut off at 75 questions...I was like THAT'S IT!!! I studyied from 4 different sources and had a review coorifice. Non of the questions were anything like I studied. I felt like I could have rolled out of bed and took that test wthout studying. :uhoh21:Nothing prepared me for the type of questions I had. It was prority and alot of newer medications. Kaplan can't prepare you for them type of questions. They didn't even reflect anything from the hospital. I just pray I passed, because I don't even want to think about restudying and getting the same kind of test.
