Hi All:
For those of you who have made it so far, how did you go about setting up your externship? Did your school provide you an appointment or did you find one yourself? How did you find it? Are you getting paid and what kind of responsibilities do you have? Looking through what I've found on line, I'm a bit confused . Some "externships" seem little more than shadowing a nurse, others seem to have more hands on experience. In my program we'll be doing our externship summer of 2005 after we sit for NCLEX and, if all goes well :) , we'll be RNs but w/o a full degree. We're supposed to find an externship that has total patient care working w/ a preceptor. If we can get paid all the better.
Create well-written care plans that meets your patient's health goals.
This study guide will help you focus your time on what's most important.
Choosing a specialty can be a daunting task and we made it easier.
