Express admit Unit

Featured Replies

Is this like a cardiac rule out unit or obs unit? My hospital does not have one but from what I have heard from others in my area is that they are closer in proximity to the ED and they are meant for 23 hour stays. I would imagine that it's very fast-paced with a lot of admissions and discharges each shift (and if it's cardiac, a lot of stress tests in the morning). Patients might have serial lab draws that you may or may not have to do - depending on whether you have phlebotomy. If you are a student looking for your first job, I think this would be a great place to start if you can get in :)

I don't know what it is but if it's what you are thinking, it seems interesting. Thank you for your reply :)
