I would like to purchase malpractice insurance but dont know what company to choose. For anyone that has ever had to use insurance what was your experience with provider? I have had insurance for house, etc. I have been told promises but when went to use it was of no value. I want to be certain insurance there if need it. Please let me know your experiences with different providers.

Read the above article to ensure you are making an informed choice on buying a policy. If you do wish to buy a policy, I typically recommend the CNA individual liability policy as sold by NSO.
In terms of service for a claim, the majority of people who have a claim and use the policy do so for a 'licensure defense' action against them. Very few employed nurses ever have a claim for 'malpractice', for reasons that my article makes clear. I have worked with CNA for many decades, and they do a good job of servicing their policyholders who have a claim.
You have two practical choices: the CNA policy sold by NSO or the Liberty Mutual policy sold by ProLiability.
