Expensive/high cost of living schools

I'm getting out of the military and I want to be a nurse. The GI Bill pays full tuition up to the cost of going to the most expensive public school in the state of the school you go to. So I'm thinking if I could find a school with a BSN program thats real expensive in some cases it MAY be less competitive. It doesn't matter if it's a private school it just can't cost more than the most expensive public school of that state in.

Anyone know of any schools that meet that criteria? Also if it's in a high cost of living area like San Francisco I get a larger housing allowance = more money I pocket. Most schools in San Fran seem extremely competitive however.

Aren't you planning to live near the school? In which case you would be pocketing that large housing allowance only until you pay for housing.

As for your first question, I don't know of any off hand. I think you could find some schools that are less competitive due to their expense. If I were you I'd look at more than that. Some schools are very expensive, very easy to get into and do a poor job of teaching their students.

Also, thank you for your service to our country.
