Hello,
A Few Pointed Questions, Thanks In Adnvace For The Help....
If You Are A California Lpn And You Finish Your Rn By Doing Excelsior, Are You Able To Get Licensed In Ca After Passing Nclex?
Conversely, If You Are An Out Of State Lpn And You Finish Your Rn With Excelsior, Are You Allowed To Take Nclex To Obtain A Ca Rn License.
Finally, If You Are A Practicing Rn From Another State And Your Rn Education Was From Excelsior, Are You Eligible For Ca Licensure?
My Schooling Was The Tradiontal Way, But A Friend Of Mine Is Thinking Of Excelsior...

As far as I know, you had to be enrolled and/or graduated from Excelsior on or prior to December 6, 2003 to be accepted in California. However, people have called the BORN and gotten mixed information on that point.
Nevertheless, as far as I know, if you enrolled in Excelsior AFTER December 6, 2003, you will not be accepted in California. You cannot opt-in or pursue any other option to practice in this state.
So, basically, December 6, 2003 was the cut off point ...
I hope this helps. Of course, calling the BORN is always best, but some people have gotten confusing info when speaking with the staff.
