rue and the college network are not colleges but high priced publishing companies. chamberlain from what i heard is not accepting anymore distance students for the associates program. excelsior and indiana state university are the only two distance nursing programs i know of right now (unless you live in texas). but there may be others.
excelsior is very well known, nln accredited but requires motivation and determination to complete the program.
wondering what other programs are out there.....i've found rue, college network, excelsior, chamberlain......i can't find chancellors on the web.....anyone know their site? i'm researching as many as i can before i make my decision...thanks

i just read your profile so let me add some things here. indiana state university's distance program is lpn to bsn and with excelsior you must be either a lvn, paramedic, rt or have completed at least 50% of a traditional rn program.

I was looking into their MSN program. I don't understand how they work....you take classes online, then go to a center for the exam? Is there just one exam per course? Do you have to pay for the exam after you have paid them all that $ for tuition? Also, does anyone have info on the "capstone experience" and what it entails? Thank you.
