Hey folks. I'm sure hundreds of threads r/t Excelsior's LPN to RN transition are posted online, but I'd like to hear from recent grads/students in GA, esp N.GA close to the TN state line. I'm a LPN with a GA and TN license, have always worked in TN. Excelsior's sales rep stated that while I may not be able to obtain my GA license through their program, I can sit for the TN NCLEX without an issue. May be a stupid question, but I have a GA address, will the state of TN let me sit for their exam and bypass GA's NCLEX? I obtained my TN LPN license through endorsement. Also, would like to hear from Excelsior grads/students regarding their thoughts on the program....is it worth it? How is the clinical exam? What about job opportunities for Excelsior grads?....In advance, thanks for your time and feedback, it's much appreciated. :)

You may want to post this in the Distance Learning forum. I'm curious. Did you talk with someone from Excelsior or did you speak with someone from one of the publishing companies (RUE/College Network)? The reason I ask is because you are better off getting this info about licensure from the horse's (Excelsior's) mouth.
I spoke with someone from College Network...good idea, thank you.
