Hey! I need to take the Micro Exam soon. Any pointers from anyone? I've already taken Bio, a/P 1 and 2. I am reading a MIcro text, and have online outlines. Anything else???

I enjoyed the "Microbiology Demystified" book -- it was very helpful! I also took the EC practice exam for Micro and studied from Lisa Arends' notes. Ended up with an A. :) Good luck!!
Thanks Lunah! any study tips? and how long did you study prior to taking the exam??
I studied for about 6 weeks for this one -- I rescheduled it a few times because I just wasn't ready! And life got in the way a little. I was also CPNE eligible BEFORE taking this exam, so I wasn't too stressed about getting it done.
The first thing I did was read the entire "Micro Demystified" book, and then took the first practice exam. Then I supplemented with readings in the TCN guide and Lisa Arends' notes, then took the second practice exam. I never did that great on the practice exams -- I got about a 60 on the first one, then a 75 on the second one (which was quite an improvement, given the first score!). With the nursing concepts tests, I usually got into the 80's on the second practice exam ... but I just went ahead and did it!
Definitely do the practice exams. Worth every penny!! :) Also, Lisa Arends' notes were great for driving home key concepts.
