Excelsior...I am confused...

I don't wanna come across as stupid but I am finishing up my LPN right now and thought that taking my RN at home would be a much better fit for me. I called Excelsior because I had heard good things from others. They sent a all kinds of enrollment info. I guess where I get confused is the exams...are these courses or just things you test out of? Does this make sense? On the cost breakdown sheet it showed how many credits and the cost for the exams for those credit hours...does this include the info that you study and learn or are these just the costs to test out? Please let me know if I need to clarify...I am just puzzled by it. Thanks in advance!:)

The courses are test out only. You study, sign up for the test through Pearson Vue. The classes cost 205 for new curriculum and the cost of the books are separate. The enrollment fee of $895 is due before you can take the third nursing test. There are so many study guides that you can buy on ebay for an additional cost. The CPNE is 1800 and you pay that after you pass all the test.
