You have to be aware of the fact that each year EC adjusts their fees upward and there is an administrative fee to maintain your enrollment. So it is to your advantage to get as many of your credits completed as possible prior to enrolling and to do the program as quickly as possible, otherwise you will be facing increased fees the longer you remain in the program. All fees and costs are listed on the EC website.

I am an LVN interested in the Excelsior LVN to RN (Associate) Program. I have not contacted EC yet but I have a friend currently in the program and she has told me I can use her books and then I would just have to pay for the exams. Has anyone else done this? If total cost of the program is around $6,000 but I do not need to purchase the books, around how much will I be spending? Is majority of the cost based on the exams or on the books and how much is the 2 1/2 day clinical at the end?
